China’s social policy development is relatively slow, the social policies at the beginning of the reform and opening up are in a state of low inherent attribute, and since the beginning of the new century, they have been under development into the middle-levelled inherent attribute, which is manifested in the development of people-oriented and people-centered social policy practice. In the further development of social policy practice in China, social policy research needs to be promoted.
