【Abstract】The “September 18th Incident” is the beginning of the Chinese people’s war of resistance against Japan. This has become a universally acknowledged conclusion in the academia. However, academia has different views on the relation between the “September 18th Incident” and the Second World War. Professor Baranov, Ph.D. in History from Russia, puts forward that the “September 18th Incident” of the Japanese invasion of China is the beginning of the Second World War, based on a large number of historical facts. When Japan planned and launched the War of Aggression against China, it also formulated a comprehensive plan to seize the Far East, Asia, and the world in a step-by-step manner and put it into practice starting from the “September 18th Incident.” For this purpose, Japan adopted a series of deceptive means to cover up the ultimate goal of world domination. The exposure of the “September 18th Incident” forced Japan to tear down its camouflage and to withdraw from the League of Nations. It can be seen that Japan’s aggression, which began with the “September 18th Incident,” coincided with the plans of Germany and Italy in Europe and was the earliest starting point of the Second World War. At the same time, Japan’s aggression also laid the foundation for the establishment of fascist military dictatorship of the alliance of aggression.
