Physical capital investment: a new concept of the school physical education purpose

【Abstract】By using the methods of logic and contradiction theory, this paper reflected on the social orientation and generalization of the purposes of school physical education in China over the years, and explored the basic path and essence of the formation of the purposes of school physical education. It has been found that the physical body was the application point of force of school physical education. The contradiction between the infinite possibility of individual development and the limitations of existing physical capital stock is the most basic contradiction in the multi-dimensional relationships of school physical education, which determined that the nature of the purpose of school physical education is to invest in physical capital, and the highest purpose of it is to meet the needs of individual development. The new purpose of school physical education is to return from meeting social needs to meeting individual needs, change from realizing all-round development to realizing physical development, and it demonstrates the sentiment of caring for life in the school physical education.
