Research on the evaluation of eco-civilization construction in Chinese provincial areas based on ecologization

【Abstract】Based on the interpretation of the connotation of eco-civilization, this paper, from two aspects of ecological environment and ecologization of civilizations, establishes an evaluation index system for provincial eco-civilization construction that consists of 31 specific indicators, covering 5 aspects including ecological environment condition, ecological environment construction, the ecologization of material civilization, political civilization and cultural-ethical civilization. In order to better identify and guide the direction of eco-civilization construction, this paper established ecological environment index and eco-civilization construction index and uses the entropy method which can well measure difference to evaluate the condition and the construction process of eco-civilization of 30 provincial areas in China in 2015. It is found by further analysis that the central region is worse than the eastern region but better than the western region in term of the investment in eco-civilization construction. Finally, in accordance to the analysis of structural differences within the eco-civilization construction index, specific strategic suggestions on the key direction of future eco-civilization construction in different provincial areas are put forward.
